So i figured i would start my first post with a picture, i actually took this in downtown phoenix one of the most visually stunning places in arizona

Sit Down With MC Magic

So lets talk about the album, Rewire.. so where did you come up with the name?  Initially The Rewire was to reflect a drastic change in my music style but as the album came together it became more of a new attitude to win in the music industry , we had to REWIRE and think differently to succeed

This album is full of features. you have twista, paula deanda, the list goes on, is there any artists you wanted on the album that couldnt? I am pretty happy with all my features there is one song we didn't finish called "Girls Girls Girls" we wanted to feature Snoop Dogg but could not make it happen. 


Driving down the i-10 I see your face on billboards, on bus stops in the city im seeing your face.. What made you make the decision to take it to the streets and put up posters and billboards? The Billboards are part of the REWIRE mentality. Every day tons of songs come out making it impossible for ALL songs to get radio support so I decided to spend big money on billboards so that we can reach the people directly . The response has  been very good!

What role has Social networking played in the promotion and word spread of "Rewire"/ whats your favorite social site, twitter, facebook, myspace? My space use to be my favorite, I wish they didn't change so drastically cuz i miss the functionality of the old myspace. personally I like twitter - so I just link it up with fb & myspace ... and I also have a text club which is my MOST MOST fav because its direct between me and fans  www.textMCMagic.com 


What expectations do you have for the rewire? sales?The biggest and best one yet

What message do you want to relay to the listeners? That I really appreciate those fans that support my music by adding my stuff to their cell phones & ipods

What advice do you have for young artists trying to get into the game?  Do not expect anyone to do it for you. it is 2011 and if you are waiting for someone to sign you up you might be waiting for a long time. Be original , copy cats don't get the respect.  Do everything with PASSION.

Can we expect a tour to follow Rewire? Initially a promo tour visiting radio stations and record stores. It would be a great blessing to have great success and gear up for a concert tour
